Innovation for a sustainable lifestyle
Lammhults Design Group should develop products, services and solutions that promote the sustainable use of the planet’s resources. Sustainability is prioritised in all product development and is a core focus of our work. Many of our products already meet the criteria for environmental certifications such as Möbelfakta, the Nordic Swan, FSC, or other international eco-labels. Our future goal is for all our in-house manufactured products to qualify for such certifications.
Toprovide a comprehensive view of the environmental impact of our products, we use lifecycle assessments. This approach opens up new business segments, such as the restoration of whole or partial furniture, or the reuse of material waste, where textile remnants can be used as sound absorbers.
Circular materials and flows
Our products are mainly made from timber, wooden boards, metal and various forms of foam. We are committed to increasing the use of certified and sustainable materials, which is crucial for creating cleaner and more circular material flows. At the end of their lifecycle, our products should be easily recyclable or separable into their components. One of our key focus areas is finding sustainable alternatives to foam padding, and we closely monitor advancements in this field.
Lower climate footprint
Manufacturing, transportation, and raw material extraction impact the climate. That’s why we actively work to reduce greenhouse gas emissions throughout our value chain. We regularly track the company’s carbon emissions and aim to reduce them. A significant portion of our energy comes from renewable sources such as solar, wind, and hydro, and most of our facilities are heated using district heating.
